A rule that rarely fails: choose a piece around two thirds the width of the furniture beneath it. Every size is 0.6 cm thick, so it sits close to the wall and throws a soft shadow.

Gold and Silver are metallic tone acrylic finishes, not plated metal. They catch the light the way metal does, they weigh almost nothing on a wall, and they will never tarnish. Matte Black is the original finish and has the widest choice of cities.

Every building in every skyline is researched and drawn by hand by our in house design team. No AI, no tracing over a photograph. It is why a new city takes us weeks instead of minutes, and it is why the proportions look right when you stand in front of one.

Every City Silhouette begins as recycled acrylic, sourced from Perspex, GreenCast and Douchamp. Our packaging is produced locally in Dubai, which keeps the miles down and the quality up.

It runs on a rechargeable battery built into the piece, charged through the 2 metre USB cable in the box. Use any USB port you already own, a phone charger, a laptop, a wall socket. There is no special adapter to buy, and once it is charged there is no cable trailing down your wall.

The light is white and non dimmable. For indoor use.

Yes. Choose the Add City Name option before you add to cart and the city name is engraved onto your piece.

One small thing that saves a lot of trouble: check the spelling at checkout. Engraved pieces are made for one person only, so they cannot be returned unless something is wrong on our side.

Not yet. Our own wrapping paper is being manufactured right now, and we did not want to wrap a Siluet in anything that was not ours.

Until it lands, here is what already happens when you send one to someone else. Nothing inside the box shows a price. The outer packaging is plain, so the parcel gives nothing away on the doorstep. And the piece itself arrives in packaging made locally in Dubai, so the unboxing feels as considered as what is inside it.

Pieces need to be unused and back in their original packaging. Return shipping is deducted from your refund.

Use the return label we send you. Everything you need is printed on it, so there is no address to look up.

Engraved pieces are cut and finished for one person only, so they cannot go back into stock and we are not able to accept them as returns.

If there is a fault, or the engraving is not what you ordered, that one is on us. Email info@siluet.co and we will replace it.

A small habit that prevents most of these: read the spelling back to yourself at checkout before you pay.

We are sorry, and we will make it right.

Email info@siluet.co within 14 days of delivery with photos of the piece, the packaging and the shipping label. Then choose a replacement or a refund, whichever suits you better.

Give yourself ten minutes and a spirit level, and you are done.

1. Unbox it carefully and choose your spot.
2. Hold the skyline level against the wall and mark your points.
3. Push the included nails through the holes, then tap gently with a hammer or a mallet.
4. Start with the outer holes, finish in the centre.
5. On brick or concrete, pre drill first.
6. Do not overtighten. The acrylic needs a little room to move.

On a smooth wall, yes.

Use good quality command strips and follow their instructions. Clean the wall and the back of your skyline first, then let both dry completely. For extra grip, sand the back lightly, wipe the dust away, then apply the strips.

Please avoid blu tack and basic double sided tape. Neither will hold a skyline for long.

1. Unbox it on a soft, clean surface.
2. Mark two level points on the wall.
3. Use nails or screws suited to your wall. Anchors for drywall, pre drill for brick or concrete.
4. Hang from both points so the frame sits straight.

Keep it away from heat and long hours of direct sun.

On the wall

1. Use the paper template to mark your drill points. They line up with the keyholes on the back.
2. Drill the holes and insert the bushings.
3. Fit the screws, leaving a small gap so the keyholes can sit over them.
4. Hang the City Light and check it sits level and secure.

On furniture

Stick the non slip silicone pads to the base and stand it on any stable surface.

Power

The battery is rechargeable. Charge it with the 2 metre USB cable in the box, from any USB port or phone charger. Once it is charged it runs cordless, so nothing trails down the wall. While charging, leave a gentle loop in the cable so there is no strain on the port.

Dust it with a soft, dry cloth. Skip the harsh chemicals. Keep it away from strong heat and long hours of direct sun.

Do that, and it will look exactly like this in ten years.

If they are truly gone, standard picture hanging nails from any hardware shop will do the job. On a smooth wall, command strips work too.
